One of the best sources for free video courses is Annenberg Media. As a part of the charitable Annenberg Foundation, a trust designed to improve teaching and learning, this site posts dozens of complete video courses for free.
A few of their offerings include: economics, algebra, American cinema, art of the western world, the constitution, world history, music, psychology, and more. I particularly recommend Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish Video Series. This 52-session Spanish course teaches the language via a telenovela (Spanish soap opera) designed just for beginning learners.
One of the benefits of choosing video courses from Annenberg Media rather than OpenCourseWare projects such as those offered by MIT is that the videos are created for learners like you. These aren’t materials made for another class. They are designed to be watched as-is.
So, take a look. If you’ve watched an entire Annenberg course and would like to post a review, please drop me a line.
