This new site organizes OpenCourseWare videos from prestigious colleges and makes it easy for anyone to take a free online video course or just watch a short lecture.

What impresses me most about Academic Earth is the time that must have gone into make all of these videos user-friendly. You can browse by subject, university, or instructor. They even have “playlists” with video suggestions for delving into a topic. Individual lectures each have summaries and are organized into their respective classes.

So, take a look. Enjoy a 24-part Introduction to the Old Testament, master the basics of astrophysics, or examine the great thoughts behind political philosophy. This site is definitely a keeper.
